Bloom Festival 2012
Design and Crafts Council of Ireland Programme
This interactive installation was built and ‘grown’ gradually over the 5 days of the Festival.
Using a contemporary and experimental process of Silk Fibre Papermaking various organic shapes (flowers, leaves) were created from raw silk, fabric dyes and collected plant material.
The visiting public was invited to get involved in the making process as well as in the installation: shaping the ‘garden’, changing layouts etc.
Participation: all age groups
